FANT's projects
FANT engages in projects in Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Ghana, Ukraine, and Denmark. Our projects revolve around sport and focus on facilitating safe communities and participation in democratic processes for children, young people, and people at the margin of society.
Through football, handball, and other sports activities, our participants experience having a place in their local community regardless of age, ability, gender, ethnicity, and religion. Sports offer a free haven where play can unfold, and where conversations about rights, opportunities, democracy, and equality take place and are encouraged.

Local anchoring
It is of utmost importance to us that FANT's projects are established and run in close collaboration with the people they center. This is the only way we can ensure that we contribute to real change. That is why all of our projects have local anchoring: Meaning that the projects are run by local resources and partners.
In FANT, we are particularly focused on the most vulnerable and marginalised groups in society. FANT and our local partners support the most resourceful people in taking the lead. We equip them to become role models, coaches, captains, or hosts in their local communities.
The communities offer people at the margin of society a chance, the most resourceful a responsibility, and everyone the opportunity to develop themselves.

Connected Leadership is FANT's unique leadership programme in Sierra Leone. The programme is for you who want to evolve and grow your leadership skills in a completely different environment. We gather and educate leaders from all across the world and strengthen their network, focus, and competencies as leaders.
