The SDGsThe thoughts behind Connected Leadership
Since we launched Connected Leadership in 2022, more than 80 leaders from more than 10 different companies have been part of the journey. With this leadership course, we want to build bridges and create connections between different worlds, ideas, and methods.
Change is fostered in relations - not isolation
In Sierra Leone, Western business leaders are confronted with a world and reality far from their own. Here, for example, they meet with local leaders and young entrepreneurs. The experiences are many, and the benefits are abundant for all parties when these meetings take place.
Connected Leadership reminds us that small actions can grow bigger like ripples in water. It is not just a leadership education: Connected Leadership is an effort that creates lasting change. The change happens in the course participants and the communities they meet, as well as in the companies and employees the participants will lead towards sustainable success. This change is possible because it is created in relationships between people, society, and surroundings. Not in isolation.
Supporting the management of global and strategic challenges
At Connected Leadership, participants gain new understandings of how social and economic dynamics are interconnected and affected globally. The learnings from the course support the management of the strategic challenges associated with running an ethical, responsible, and sustainable business in a connected and global world.

The insights from Connected Leadership also contribute to new analyses of concepts such as CSR and sustainable business. And it will be particularly relevant for businesses as CSRD reporting becomes mandatory for most companies in Denmark and the EU.
The management course is an opportunity for companies that want to actively engage in the sustainability practices that they are required to report on. This applies to their social, employee-related, and environmental practices, all of which are addressed to varying degrees at Connected Leadership.

Connected Leadership engages, inspires, and mobilises
We find that the participants return home with new learnings, new understandings, and new insights. They take all this with them to the workplace – and in many cases also to their other relationships. Both the relations that already exist and those that are later established.
In their companies, the participants bring new perspectives on leadership and responsibility with them from Sierra Leone.
